update 10.14.09- hi guys, im home!
-i arrived back in portland yesterday after a very long 6 weeks in europe. i did a lot of tattooing and a lot of hangin' out and it was awesome. though i will also extend my appreciation in a more personal manner in the next few days, i would like to generally and sincerely thank everyone who offered a place to stay or work anytime in the past month and a half. couldn't have done it without you.
-also, a sincere thank you/apology for those people who have tried to contact me while i was away. internet access was a spotty, and i didn't have my usual resources for responding to emails with any sense of urgency, as i usually do. i am trying to respond to every message i got in the next few days as well...if you have emailed me in the past 6 weeks, and don't get a response this week, kindly send me another to make sure you don't slip through the cracks. i am switching my email system method so there's bound to be a few casualties, and i don't want anyone to be left hanging. which brings me to the next thing:
-in my travels abroad i worked in many different situations, with many different people, and was fortunate to gain some valuable perspective from them. as a result, i will be making some changes to my scheduling/working procedures, which should extend all the way to this website. to put it simply, i will soon be overhauling much of with the content here, removing well over half the tattoos from the galleries here and becoming much more selective about what i include in my regular updates... which should still stay as regular as they always have been(monthly-ish?), if a little less bulky. that's in addition to some modification to my scheduling and other things. don't be scared.... change is good, people.
- my flickr page will remain as the best way to keep an eye on the kind of stuff i'm working on, as i work on it. i may or may not post a final photo here, but i have made a habit of documenting nearly every tattoo session... so if i'm working on it, you'll see at least a little of it over there.
-i haven't gotten used to using it yet, but again, i did acquire a twitter page(@ryanscapegoat) a while ago that i will try to make use of in the coming weeks. still not sure about that thing.
- i'm home. life is good.
